When You Feel All Is Lost. Why It´s Okay Not To Be Okay

“When a woman becomes her own best friend life is easier.”

The day that I finally admitted that I wasn´t okay was the day that I took back control of my life.

At the time, I was a practising litigation lawyer with a workaholic lifestyle.

I had no social life and was slowly driving myself into the ground for a job I despised.

It took a lot to get to that point.  I really felt that all was lost.

I was afraid of what people would think if I didn’t keep the “I’m okay” mask on. We live in a world that expects us to keep a mask on, to pretend we are fine with the status quo in our lives.

Yet we all deserve to be the best we can be and live a life that we are more than okay with!

The day that I dropped the mask was the day I began the journey of finding myself again.

Looking back, I can see it’s all about self-love and honesty. If I couldn´t be honest, help and love myself, I couldn´t be honest with others, change my life and go after my dreams.

After finally admitting that I wasn´t okay, I went on to completely change my life.

I followed my passions to become a Life Coach and Writer and moved abroad to the country of my dreams.

Good things happen once you can be honest and acknowledge that you´re not okay.

So, if you feel all is lost, the first step to finding yourself is to accept and acknowledge what you are not okay with.

If you have any area of your life which you are not okay with, then take the first step by acknowledging your feelings.

Remember to show yourself the love and kindness that you would show to your best friend if they were in your shoes.

It’s the first step on the road to finding what truly makes you happy.
